wildlife. The Old Byre Heritage Centre is opposite the cottage, where
you can see some of the local Dervaig, Isle of Mull history and enjoy some home baking.
The Forest Enterprise walk at West Ardhu is close by and is easily reached

Dervaig
Bridge
The bridge over the river Bellart
on the road from Dervaig to Calgary holds many secrets and is still used
for fishing for salmon and sea trout.
Calgary
Beach
Easy access and parking together
with its golden sands make this beach one of the most popular on the Island.
If you don't have transport then you can travel there using the local
Tobermory to Calgary 'bus service that runs throughout the day. If you
wish to have a light lunch whilst you are at the beach, the Calgary Farmhouse
Gallery will serve your needs and there is a pleasant woodland walk between
the beach and the Gallery. Paintings and other artwork by local artists
are displayed and you may purchase the exhibits if you wish.
Calgary Wood
This is not a truly natural wood. You will see
great beauty of nature in the rocks, trees, flowers, in the sea, in sunshine
and shadows. And yet the trees were planted and tended, people have worked
the wood and surrounding land for hundreds of years. What we see now is
a product of both nature and of man's efforts, a working environment,
a cultural landscape.
Mull
Theatre
This world famous theatre is
the longest established professional theatre in the Highlands and Islands
(1966), it’s one of the oldest touring theatre companies in Scotland,
and is the only company in the area to have its own venue.
Kilmore
Church
This is 5 minutes walk from
the cottage and is quite unique in its structure.
